Frequently asked questions
It all began with a simple idea fueled by a deep passion. As a small business, Lohir Productions prides itself on personal attention and dedication to every detail. Our approach is rooted in quality and integrity, ensuring that everything we do reflects our commitment to excellence and our unique empathetic style. We want you to feel understood and creatively captured, not just photographed.
What does Lohir stand for?
Lohir is an acronym for a quote: "Look Out Haskell, It’s Real". The quote is from the 1969 film Medium Cool where the film's director and actress filmed a pivotal scene during the real-life chaos of the 1968 Democratic National Convention protest. During filming, a nearby police officer let off a tear gas canister next to the director, prompting his associate to yell, "Look Out Haskell, Its Real". Tim chose this quote because of his admiration for the filmmaking style of "cinema vérité," where an element of fiction blends within a nonfiction setting. This resonates with how the team approaches their style of work; blending fiction & nonfiction.
How do you pronounce Lohir?
Lohir is pronounced Lower.
